PowerPlus: High Energy Yield Solar Panels
Even though solar panels operate 2/3 of the time in low-light conditions, most solar panels are predicted to have decreased efficiency in cloudy skies, haze, shadow and low-angle sunlight. But not the Conergy PowerPlus solar panels. The PowerPlus solar panels actually have higher efficiencies in low light conditions than the predicted output. TUV, a leading global provider of technical, safety and certification services, has independently verified that the PowerPlus solar panels’ efficiency is actually higher in low-light conditions than the projected efficiency.
In the real world, the increased yield of the PowerPlus solar panels was shown at a 2 MW site in Spain. The PowerPlus solar panels outperformed some of its top competitors.

The 3-busbar PV cell design increases the entire solar panel yield, compared to the typical 2-busbar PV cell design that only increases individual cell efficiency and actually decreases the yield of the entire solar panel

Conergy designs each component to work with the entire system. The PowerPlus solar panel’s glass is designed to effectively distribute the light passing through it onto the surface of the solar cells – increasing light transmissivity by 7% over modules without structured solar glass.
With a tight, positive power tolerance of -0/+2.5%, PowerPlus solar panels will always meet or exceed the system’s power expectations. The industry standard solar panels have a power tolerance of ±3%. Because all modules operating connected in a string will always perform at the lowest power output a negative power tolerance means entire system could under perform. This adds up to a lot of lost energy production over the life of the system.
